SHYNE

Senior High Youth Nearing Eternity is our senior high youth group (10th-12th grade).  They meet for an evening of activities, Bible studies, eating, singing, and lots more.  SHYNE also incorporates service projects and outreach experiences into their yearly schedule.  SHYNE meets on Wednesdays evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 for weekly Bible Study.  Contact the church office if you have questions or need more information. 

LIGHT

Learning in God’s House Together is our junior high youth group (7th-9th grade).  LIGHT meets for exciting activities, Bible study, food, and fellowship.  It is a fun way to relax, be with your friends and get to know new people.  Click to read more about LIGHT events.

Yahweh Yuppets

Yahweh Yuppets is our Puppet ministry at St. John.  Yuppets are open for all youth 6th grade and older.  Yahweh Yuppets do song and dance numbers, skits and lots more,  They perform at St. John for Sunday School openings and outside of church at various locations.  Yuppets is a fun and exciting way to spread the word of God in unique ways. Confirmation

Youth who are attending the 7th and 8th grades study Catechism doctrine which includes:  the Ten Commandments, Apostle’s Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, and Holy Communion.  The purpose of Confirmation is to help students identify more closely with the church and its teachings.   Classes are conducted on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Students who complete the two-year course and meet the expectations established by the congregation are confirmed in the fall of their 9th grade year.
